Chemical & Physical Change Indicators
Intro:
When a substance interacts with another substance or other condition such as heat, a change may occure. But which change occured? Is it a physical change or a chemical change?
We know from our last unit that physical properties describes the physical attributes of the substance, such as how it looks, feels, smells and tastes to name a few; and we know that a chemical property describes how the substance interacts with other substances.
In today's lesson, we explore the differences by identifying patterns in common interactions and reactions to determine which interaction is the result of a physical change and which ones are the result of a chemical change.
