In the Marine Ecosystem, carbon cycles between Marine plants such as sea weed, phyto-plankton, and animals such as snails, coral, fish. The plants get carbon dioxide from the water around you to perform photosynthesis which makes sugars, and the animals get the energy they need from the plants. The carbon stored in the animals are in the form of fats (lipids) and proteins.
