CER - Photoshop or Real
Engaging in arguments based on evidence & constructing explanation
Objective:
Today's objective is to help students develop their skills in obtaining, evaluating and communicating information, constructing explanations, and engaging in argumentation using evidence. To do that, we will utilize Adobe's "is it real or photoshopped" website and have the students evaluate the photos, and determine if they are real or photoshopped. Later, they will also form a "possible explanation" of how they think the photographer pulled it off, and also get up in front of the class and present their claim.
In this project, students formed arguments based on the picture presented to them.
This was a focus on Claim, Evidence & Reason, and a second focus on Constructing Explanations.
